Lethenty - 1915 - William Higgins

This interesting home was built in 1915 for Sir James Wilson of Bulls by W.T. Higgins newly arrived from England.

 

The architecture is in the fashionable Georgian Revival style and the home is preserved in its original condition.

This home was built for Dr Wilfred Brown and dates from Chapman-Taylor's early period. The unique courtyard and general style of the home show the influence of the arts and craft movement.

 

"Woodleigh Farm" is a house that was astonishingly original in it's time and remains so today.

Woodleigh Farm - 1911 - James Chapman-Taylor

Built in 1906 for William Marshall, and is a fine example of Natusch's work in the English domestic revival style.

 

The house is set in mature and attractive grounds with beautiful views of the Rangitikei.

Pukemarama - 1900 - Russell & Bignell

Pukemarama was built for James McKelvie in 1900, using the popular villa style, developed to include some unique features.

 

The house, set in splendid grounds, commands majestic views of the Rangitikei Valley looking towards Mt. Ruapehu.
